Here’s how you can measure your watch for a new strap:

Measure the Lug Width

The lug width is the distance between the two lugs where the strap is attached. Use a caliper or a ruler with millimeter precision.

  1. Place the caliper or ruler next to or between the lugs. When using a retractable metal measure, it is best to not use the end of it which is often deformed or missing markers. 
  2. Measure from inside edge to inside edge.
  3. Common lug widths are even numbers, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, and 24mm. However, some watches will have odd number lug widths 19mm, 21mm etc.
