Here’s how you can measure your watch for a new strap:
Measure the Lug Width
The lug width is the distance between the two lugs where the strap is attached. Use a caliper or a ruler with millimeter precision.
- Place the caliper or ruler next to or between the lugs. When using a retractable metal measure, it is best to not use the end of it which is often deformed or missing markers.
- Measure from inside edge to inside edge.
- Common lug widths are even numbers, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, and 24mm. However, some watches will have odd number lug widths 19mm, 21mm etc.
